Great Mixed Media Sculptures


John Morris, Born in England, his family moved to Australia in 1966. After the Diploma of Arts (1983) at Queensland College of Graphic Design he started working as freelance illustrator. In the following years he approached the art of sculpting with polyester resin and wax technique. Later he started sculpting in bronze. His first sculpture made with this metal appeared in 1990. Morris turned to wood sculpting in 1996. “The works of John Morris spring from exhaustive sketching and illustration, drawing on intensive research” John Morris, an artist known for his captivating wood sculptures, created a remarkable piece titled "Cat." Completed in 2023, shown above) this wooden sculpture stands 65.3cm tall and 36.5cm wide. Morris's works spring from exhaustive sketching and research, drawing inspiration from skeletal bone structures, muscular forms, and fashion imagery.

Quincy Wilson, the youngest male gold medalist in Track & Field history.




With Team USA’s win in the men’s 4x400m, Quincy receives a medal as he was on the team in the prelims. The previous youngest was Bob Mathias who won the decathlon at the 1948 Summer Olympics. He was only 17 years-old. Quincy earns his medal at 16 years, 7 months, 2 days
