I said I would post a step by step today.

 Working on canvas with ... 

 

just sewing pattern, newspaper &  tissue.

No lines or ink, just the pattern & paper design.

Initially I planned to add more color, as is my habit.

But then I decided to use just the papers ...

and keep it a muted palette. 
A different effect.
