Picture this ...
beautiful daughter # 2 picks me up in her racy car ...
we drive over to pick up her Mom,
my super good friend Carole, see here ...
and her good friend Joyce, and we are off,
to Hollywood y'all!
Traveling an hour and a half, four freeways ...
we arrived for reservations at the famous eatery ...
the occasion ? Carole's special birthday!

Cheryl planned a magical evening to honor her Mom.

Joyce and I were lucky to be included in the celebration.
The food was terrific as is their 97 year reputation.
After a wonderful meal, it was time for ...
a toast and a special birthday wish!
Then, a parade of decadent desserts.
Wow!
Next, we were off to the theater!
Not just any theater, but the famous Pantages Theater.
Built in 1930, the 85 year ArtDeco landmark is still opulent.
We had great seats to see the popular hit Broadway musical ...
A sold out, full house enjoyed a terrific play.
So good that we didn't want the evening to end.
It was picture time.
Our chauffeur Cheryl drove us home on four freeways,
with less late night traffic, and a little help from backseat drivers.
Thanks Cheryl for a really magical evening,
and for the terrific young lady you are.
And, Happy Birthday Carole!
Thank you for an almost 40 year special friendship.
