Day 810: Back in the saddle again ...

Helena, digital collage

A famous western song remembered from childhood ...
I don't know who sang it ... Gene Autry?
Roy Rogers, Dale & Trigger, or maybe Hopalong?

Anyway, I resisted the urge to nap all day in recovery,
and instead jumped "back in the saddle" and drove over to
Art Supply Warehouse for a brush demonstration.
... A what?

Escoda Brush Demonstration
Monday October 13, 2014 -- 11:00AM to 12:00PM
Since 1933 Escoda has made beautiful handmade brushes with only the finest materials. Join us to meet with the Escoda family to learn how they make professional quality fine artist brushes, the history of the Escoda company and how they continue to strive for the highest standards. Learn how to find the brush that best fits you!

Now I've held my share of brushes, but have to admit
I had no idea how really fine brushes were made.

Two members of the Escoda family,
here from Barcelona, Spain demonstrated the fine
brush making techniques exclusive to their family since 1933.

Art Supply Warehouse carries a complete selection.

The finest sable brushes are behind glass.

Seems impossible not to shop at ASW  ...
one feels like "a kid in a candy store?"

And still in time to go to day class.

A little something for everyone?
I  share some beauty from my Indiana cousin's yard ...

A smile for Tuesday ...
