Saturday morning started with a hair cut, then on to ...

Celebrating 25 years, the Artistic License Fair
is a fine crafts show featuring the highly collected work
of over fifty LA, Orange, and Riverside County artisans.
Their work celebrates the artistry of one-of-a-kind traditional and contemporary crafts, elevating these functional objects into heirloom quality works of art—hand-woven and hand-dyed garments, one-of-a-kind jewelry, ceramics, hand-blown glass, woodworking, paper, and silks, as well as
breathtaking home decor and gift items in a lovely setting.

Located at Estancia Park, 1900 Adams Avenue,
Costa Mesa, CA 92626, beneath the enchantment of
autumn trees,  where you can enjoy finely catered cuisine.

Are you curious about what I bought?
In the past I have bought a one of a kind top,
and I wanted to again this year, but
this year at $225, I passed!
I did buy a wrapping gift set @ $6.

And, I am crazy about anything by joanell connolly.

Wednesday I got a cool text from WonderWoman ...

time with my two daughters, awesome!
So today we did indeed go shopping and eat!
I took some random photos of things that caught my eye ...

and favorite places ...

and for those of you who follow this silly blog,
you might remember that my trusty scanner has been
AWOL for over a month now. Plugged in but not working.
I use the scanner a lot, but have working around it,
and have been using my i-phone.

Tonight the scanner light came on as I sat here!
It's back!  I don't understand but am so grateful.
I think we all have small miracles daily, but easy to miss.
Today I noticed many.

A smile for Saturday ...

I wanted to make a thank you card for Connie.
I found some black cards that seemed perfect.

I decided to use some asemic mark making on tissue paper.

The envelopes all have a scrap of the scribbles or markings.

I caught a couple in progress ...

but most were finished before I thought to photograph them.

I really enjoy making personal cards.
Easy, fun & hopefully more meaningful.

Are you watching the World Series?

a "not a big screen" tv.

Portland artist Amy Duncan coined the name shelfies ...
during the game, I shot my shelfies.

Believe it or not, I have sold, given and donated most of my books.

Most of these are journals. TMI?
