54 San-dan and higher black belts worked on kata at the

honbu dojo, 02-20-2020, with Ken Nishiki from Japan.

A separate class for Nidan followed, by a third class for Shodans.

A blackbelt dinner after a long day was so appreciated.

Dinner with Demura Sensei's family. Thank you Sensei.

Texas Diva is not a step-by-step,
but instead, a section by section.

As you can see above, she was long and lean,
a 8 x 40"canvas. So I did close-ups.

Newspaper, junk mail, sewing patterns, deli and tissue papers

Primarily tissue paper on canvas, with marker for outlining.

Purchased, I hear she's kicking it in New York.

During this fun workshop with Jacki Long you will paint, collage, draw, and more on canvas, paper and multiple surfaces. Create many different paintings using a wide variety of techniques. This class will help you loosen up and enjoy the process of creating. Lunch break, 2 restaurants nearby.

Jane Davies is a well known, full time Vermont artist,

working in collage, painting, and encaustics.

She offers workshops at her studio and nationwide, as well

as amazing you tube videos. I follow her blog here.

Recently Jane offered to send some collage papers,

"I will gladly send YOU some of this bounty of collage papers: just send a self-addressed envelope with adequate postage (if in the US), or no postage (if outside the US) to Jane Davies Studios, Collage Paper Request, PO Box 45, Rupert, VT 05768. Deadline is the end of the month."

Too good to pass up, I sent in my envelope

and it recently came back to me ...

filled with papers for collage.

I am going to try a postcard using papers from this stash.

I used a Charlie Chaplin stamp and junk mail for the body.

And a junk mail collage on the address side.

They can't all be winners, but I finished it.

Day 1 was mentioned yesterday, in Day 2481, here.

I apologize, I was tired and just dumped

all of the photos, instead of editing as usual.

Tonight I am again tired, just unpacked and now need

to put away supplies and photograph a few for you.

But, before I do, I thought I would mention our teacher

for the two day course, master artist, Dina Wakley.

sold out 2-day, 9 - 5 PM art workshop with master teacher

artist, author & product creator, Dina Wakley.

Engaging, down to earth, knowledgeable, funny & kind!
