I was awake at 4am in anticipation of my alarm for 5 am to dress and finishing packing. WW and my 2 grand-dogs, Zoey and Duke took me to LV-JSX airport in the truck for my 7:25 flight to Orange County.
A quick flight of less than an hour, half way there the pilot starts the descent. The flight attendant is busy serving beverages and a snack and then collecting same before we land. I love looking out the window during the flight and decided it was a great geography lesson.

Then I noticed the labelled writing on my window, and decided that the window was installed upside down? It worked so I guess it doesn't matter? Just Grandma being picky?

It was about then that I could pick out the 91 freeway, as we went over Anaheim Hills. Fun to look at all the Monopoly sized houses, then I saw the reservoir and soon after the 55 freeway towards Newport Beach. Because of the plane's speed, the cars on the freeway seemed slow and leisurely, even though I know that is not reality. Daughter #2, Cheryl was at the airport to meet me, and she drove me home. I picked today's music because I have been Lazy all day!

So there. ;o)

SCIENCE FACT OF THE DAY

Foliated metamorphic rocks are strongly banded or foliated, the latter of which means that a parallel arrangement of certain mineral grains gives the rock a 'striped' look. Foliation occurs when pressure squeezes the flat or elongate minerals within a rock so they become aligned. Granite gneiss and biotite schist are examples of foliated metamorphic rocks.
