It used to be my habit, as a single lady, to occasionally go for a meal at a favorite restaurant, and take the book I was currently reading. I don't know, something about reading and eating at my own pace without interruptions seemed a win-win. I decided that it can be a habit again.

I decided on Ruby's, a local old-fashioned diner. It even has an elevated train in motion above the dining room. Kids and parents love it, grandparents too.
I had the Super burger! Melted double Jack-pepper cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, Ruby's Burger Sauce and sliced avocado. Served on grilled Parmesan sourdough.
The burger was better than the photo, it was so juicy, it was hard to hold together, but I managed. When I was done, the waiter cleared the table and since it was mid-afternoon and they weren't busy, I asked if I could read a bit more. He said, no problem at all. A lovely afternoon, no supper necessary.
