I have had more than my normal immersion in the Winter Olympic Games, and I actually have learned a lot. Go ahead, quiz me on Short Stack, Nordic Combined, Curling. Bring it on. When WonderWoman was here Thursday, she did some lifting for me and moved my relic of a stereo system to the back of my car, ready to donate. In the process, I wanted to try and help and sat on a step stool at an incorrect angle and caused my hip replacements to react. Since both are past their shelf-life, we took it seriously enough for a cane. By evening it was worse.Three hours in Kaiser Sand Canyon ER and I was sent home to rest. Thus the Olympics. The next day I walked gingerly with a cane, but felt well enough to drive to OLU thrift store to donate. WW asked if they knew what it was? Maybe not, but they were kind to accept it. Next weekend we will have our 55th annual International Goodwill Championship, Sunday, the Demura Cup at Costa Mesa High School.
Always a great event, and so good to see so many friends. I plan to be there and help if needed. More info:
