Do you know "dan-sha-ri?"

断捨離

Have you heard of dan-sha-ri?

It's a Japanese word, and a craze in Japan.

One description ... to live with less.

Three characters signify refusal, disposal and separation.

Last year I started on a mission ...

(before I knew of dan-sha-ri)

to simplify.

I plan to give, sell or donate almost everything before I die.

No, I am not sick or dying.

In fact, I plan on hanging around for many years.

But ...  I do have a lot of "stuff" so I need to get started.

Post note: Yes, thirteen years later I am still at it. It's a slower process at 84. It is amazing how much one person can accumulate. It will never be easier than today so, again, wish me luck.
