I am determined!

At least I think I am? I plan to make individual, original artwork for each of the people on my gift list. Lord knows I have enough art supplies accumulated over the 83+ years to do it, so the only expense is time to do it, and the wrapping and mailing. Doable I think, if I chain this ol'body to the chair? A warning, they will be wonky, as my arthritic hands play tricks on me sometimes. I am just thankful that I am upright and pretty much able. Also, I should get some step by steps, that some of you like. This is a good challenge for my procrastination. I am betting that some of my relatives and besties  are quietly taking bets? But don't count me out, remember 4,846 days ago, I said I was going to blog everyday, and there was some eyeball rolling then too. ;o)

Happy Heavenly Birthday to my Mom, Dorothy. Today is her 109th birthday. Youngest of ten, brought up on an Indiana farm and raised, as were her four sisters to do whatever her five brothers were expected to do, and the vice versa for the boys. This made for a very responsible household, they learned from each other, and all could do anything. What a gift.

My Mom was kind, and loved by people for her warm personality. When at Purdue, Amelia Earhart was one of her flight instructors. She rode equestrian for the Ball Family. She took up bowling before it was popular with many women, bowling a 300 game which made the newspapers. My parents were married in 1940 and divorced in 1946. my Mom remarried in 1952 and we lived in Australia, where her husband was a prominent race horse trainer.

I see so many of her great qualities in here granddaughter, WonderWoman. They would have been great buddies. Mom passed in 1968, at age 52 after many years of health issues, I was 27.

Happy Birthday, Mom!
