Spotlights the Need for Hope Amid Crisis
Mittermeier travels the world, visiting remote communities, attending significant ceremonial events, and documenting fragile ecosystems. “Images can help us understand the urgency many photographers feel to protect wild places,” she says in a statement. She continues:"My work is about building a greater awareness of the responsibility of what it means to be human. It is about understanding that the history of every living thing that has ever existed on this planet also lives within us. It is about the ethical imperative—the urgent reminder that we are linked to all other species on this planet and that we have a duty to act as the keepers of our fellow life forms."
Here’s a simple, fun way to attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, |
1. Use a shallow dish, plate, or even a pie tin. 2. Fill it with clean water, but keep it shallow (pollinators can drown in deep water). 4. Add colorful stones, marbles, or cork pieces as landing pads. 5. Place it in your garden near flowering plants. |

Pollinators need water for hydration and to regulate body temperature. The stones give them a safe spot to perch, and the bright colors attract them. Refresh the water every 1–2 days to keep it clean and mosquito-free. Bonus tip: Sprinkle a pinch of salt or add a tiny drop of seawater to mimic natural mineral sources they love! |

The photos of Cristina Mittermeier are superb!
And "finding peace anyway", that's what we all want and wish, right?
Jacki, thanks for your kind answer to my yesterday's comment. I always read your answers, it's so kind of you to take the time for them.
