As the sun begins to peek over the horizon, the Sydney botanic garden comes to life. And in the heart of this verdant paradise, a scene of pure magic unfolds. Hundreds of flying foxes, their wings folded tight, hang suspended from the bare branches of a tree. As the dawn breeze caresses their fur, they stir, their silhouettes a tapestry against the golden sky. It is a sight to behold - a moment of pure beauty and peace, as the wild and the urban converge in harmony. So if you find yourself in the garden at dawn, take a moment to gaze upon this stunning scene, and let the magic of nature take your breath away.
Flying foxes are a type of large fruit-eating bat native to tropical and subtropical regions. They have wingspans of up to 6 feet and are important seed dispersers and pollinators. They live in large colonies and are nocturnal, feeding on fruit, flowers, nectar, and insects. Threatened by habitat loss, hunting, some flying fox are endangered.

Stressed, exhausted?  You can get some relief by calling a hotline and screaming. Yes, really.

Just Scream!, a hotline created by elementary school teacher Chris Gollmar, aims to reduce tension for those needing an outlet. All you have to do is call the hotline and scream for as loud as you want, for as long as you want, and then hang up.
"I wanted to find a prompt that people would respond to and screaming seemed to be a good fit!"

Gollmar, who said he's been an artist and coder since he was a kid, spends his free time working on participatory art projects that invite people to call a phone number and leave a voicemail for others to hear. This time, he said he "thought it would be funny and unique to create a phone line just for screaming."

I especially loved the idea to call a phone number and just scream.

I showed the smile with the four apes to my husband and we had to laugh both. Thanks!
Have a happy weekend, Jacki!
