Awagami x Issey Miyake Exhibition
Awagami has again been honored to collaborate with Issey Miyake on a new collection of couture washi clothing. An exhibition celebrating the collection “On Kamiko” is now up at both Issey Miyake’s Tokyo & Osaka galleries. Accompanying the clothing are photographs printed on Awagami “Bizan” inkjet washi. Japanese papers are the best I can imagine. Making them into clothes is a unique tradition in Japan. And their natural dyed strings have the most beautiful colors.

Thanks Elenor, yes, I agree, that family has a wonderful tradition of fin paper and now the string looks terrific too? No I have never used their products, but have wanted to.
