I hear periodically from Awagami Factory, they make beautiful papers in their family mill and of their Japanese heritage craft. Latest news is ...

Awagami x Issey Miyake Exhibition

Awagami has again been honored to collaborate with Issey Miyake on a new collection of couture washi clothing.  An exhibition celebrating the collection “On Kamiko” is now up at both Issey Miyake’s Tokyo & Osaka galleries. Accompanying the clothing are photographs printed on Awagami “Bizan” inkjet washi. More information, here.

New Natural Dyed Washi String

Washi string or "Kami-ito" (紙糸) is made by twisting thin strips of kozo washi into a thin cord. Used in Japan for centuries and wonderful for paper-lovers to use in their art, crafts, bookbinding, etc.. 5 naturally-dyed tones available in 20 meter spools. Product information, here.
