21 years ago today I met my first grandson!
Jordan Bassel Salloum.
For Grandparents out there, you know how special that is!
I was blessed to be in the birthing suite and
watched this young couple prepare to be three.
The love that permeated the room was as thick as pudding.
And when the time was right, Jordan made his entrance.
7 pounds, 14 ounces ... 21-1/2 inches. Healthy!
I went to watch as the nurse laid him in
the bassinet for his tests and measurements.
He turned his head to the side, brought up both arms
and with two fists made his first impressive bicep curl.
So maybe we should have had an inkling then ...
that on his 20th birthday today ...
he is 210 and 6'5-1/2", or 77-1/2"!
