Day 99: Happy Halloween

I really like pumpkins. I am a fan.
Their color, shapes and how they look together.
Halloween, not so much, but I am going with it

Today, thanks to friend Linda, I am going to share ...
classics from the pumpkin master, Ray Villafane.

humor ...

imagination ...

craftsmanship ...

patience ...

clever ...

bizarre ...

resourceful ...

puzzling ...

aggressive ...

amazing ...

scary ...

... and don't forget, today is the last day of the shameless

Day 98: Two days left?

Thank you to the kind souls who jumped through the hoops
to boost my tiny blog from 5 to 14 as I go to blog press.

Just two days left to enter. See Day 97 for how.

I promise once the winner is announced
there will be no more shameless antics.

On yesterday's walk I found this dried twig.
It wanted to come home with me for a photo shoot.
I was pleased.

I am a working on my entries for the HBAL gallery show.
This was my first attempt, an okay start.

A later attempt, but still not there.

I think this will be my entry.

And finally, a pre-halloween smile for you...

Talk about a random blog!
You never know what you'll see.

Day 97: Going on 100!

Not me, silly!
This tiny blog will be 100 days old on Thursday!

Now the "big guys" bloggers have contests.
I'm a "big-guy" wanna-be.
They have hundreds of followers. I have 5.

And so, a contest ...
A shameless effort to get followers.
On the right of this blog it says Followers,
click on the blue square "Join this site" ...

That will bring up this box.
If you have a google, twitter, yahoo account
or the others shown, just click on that icon and you're set.

If not, just click on Create a new Google Account at the bottom.
That will bring up this box ...

Don't give up, just takes a  minute ...
your e-mail + a password that you decide (twice)
your birthday, then decipher the green letters ...
everybody hates this part, don't get discouraged ...
it will give you new letters if you have trouble.
Check and click on create my account and you're done.

Once you are a follower, you are automatically entered.
On Friday, November 2, 2012  all the follower names will be
in a hat and the winner will be drawn at random.

Okay, about now, if not before, you are asking ...
what prize is worth all this trouble? Well, you name it!
No, no trips to Hawaii or a new TV, but ...

A print of any artwork, your choice.
Anything posted on the 100 days of this tiny blog.
Or, if you prefer, and if you're local, O.C., CA
a free two hour one-on-one lesson in
collage, journaling or ipad graphics.
I'm desperate folks! Help?

Day 96: ADD, OCD, DNA ... whatever?

I had a pretty clear game plan for today.
Good intentions, then the alphabet got in the way.

I don't know which or how many disorders I might have,
but I do know I get distracted. Easily.

I did get a lot of different tasks done, laundry, wrapping
a birthday gift to mail, but few from my original list.
Oh well, let's talk about yesterday.

I do journal daily, and this current one is small.
I have been collaging on the left and writing on the right.

Usually abstract, this one had potential.

I am fond of a 4x4" square format ...

version A

version B

version C

And, the second selection from the top, rotated.

Same, filtered. The possibilities are endless.

Tonight's Tustin sky.

6:45 PM eastward sky

And a full moon.

Day 95: Time for a walk.

Woke up knowing I should walk. I often wake up that way.
But today I did it, and decided to take you along.

It's a mile uphill to our destination.

Lots of trees, clear skies, 80 degrees ... perfect!

A lovely little park at the top of the hill,
rustic with paths and more ...

a western theme ...

An older gentleman (probably my age)
does his timed laps within the paths in this park.

He smiled as he passed me on the swing. The first one is mine.
When is the last time you were on a swing?

Above left is the kids water-park, with water shooting
from the ground when the City attendant is present.

Say goodbye to Pioneer Park ...

we're starting home, beyond the mountains, is the ocean!

All downhill. I could probably sit and roll home.

Home is as far as you can see, down this street.

A great rest stop, but I'm tough, I keep going.

Home. Thanks for your company.
