Today was a win-win! I had a hair appointment, so with Julie's skills I rejoined the human race. Then Craig and Jean came and we went to

for lunch! One of my favorite spots to eat with two of my favorite people on the planet. They were just back from a two week trip to Japan so it was wonderful to learn of their great experiences, they were still walking on air. While in Tokyo, they enjoyed lunch at Asakusa Sumo Club and brought me goodies, knowing I am a sumo fan.

I have noticed that all three of my grandsons always say, "I appreciate it" after they say thank you. It is automatic, but they mean it. And, I want to say to Craig and Jean, "thank you, I appreciate you." I feel not just lucky, but blessed.

Just because ...

Maribou Stork

With a hunched posture, bald head, and ragged feathers, this towering bird may look shabby, but it plays a crucial role in Africa’s ecosystems. Feeding on carrion, scraps, and even pests, it acts as nature’s cleanup crew, preventing the spread of disease. Not elegant, perhaps, but absolutely essential.

Thursday's Smiles ...

Hoping you feel all the good things in your day.

Another great day - for you, Jacki and for me too. My son asked if we'd like to visit them on Saturday. Of course, we love to see them.
Jacki, I loved all of today's blog. And I found you in the picture!
This Avivo Village is such a good idea. I always think it's a shame that there are homeless people - also here in Austria. It's a failure of society, so heartless and brutal. Your last smiles tells the rest.
Thanks for this wonderful blog.
