A Good Day Made Terrific by a Call!

I was sitting at my Mac on Friday, working on the blog when a call came through the computer. All of a sudden I was getting a Happy Birthday serenade from Dawn and Roberto Torres in Monument, Colorado! Just Wonderful! Isn't technology great, most of the time?

Back story is that Roberto was my student from age 7, I loved him then through the years, high school drama productions, college and still do. Who could resist? And, he had really world class parents, Roberto Sr. and Edelia, the kind you wish all kids had.

And when I met his beautiful bride to be, Dawn, it was obvious that God had perfection planned. They matched each other in every way, whether dancing, intellect, humor, goals. Perfect. I love them and feel so blessed to have them in my family of great friends.

The largest and deepest natural funnel on Earth is called Xiaotsai Tiankan.
It is located in the center of China, Penzhi. This amazing funnel is completely natural and measures 662 meters deep and 537 meters wide. But the most impressive thing is the diversity of life it contains.
Geologists are surprised by the influence of water on Xiaotsai Tiankan. A funnel was formed at the top of the cave, where an 8.5 kilometer long underground river falls into a beautiful waterfall. Thanks to its huge size it is the deepest karst funnel in the world.
It is home to about 1,300 species of plants and wild animals. Among the most interesting inhabitants of the underground forest is the misty panther, known to the locals since ancient times.

WonderWoman and Superman were in town for two day. We had lunch Saturday with the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Salloum at our favorite spot, Naan & Kabob. A two hour lunch seemed appropriate.

Wonderful to be together. Thank you, Superman!
