Zoey Update:

Message from WW: "Good morning!! Had to send you this

She took her baby out to tan with her today.
I performed the 8th surgery on her unicorn yesterday. 

Sewed up the back leg for the second time.
The poor thing lost its horn, an eye, the mane, the tail and back 

legs have been reconnected a few times.  She loves this baby."

Just because ...

This Acorn Woodpecker is stashing away its acorn hoard in a Granary Tree (trees typically used as storage). There’s a sycamore tree in California, used by acorn woodpeckers as an acorn “granary”, that holds an estimated 20,000 acorns and the acorns have not killed the tree!

FB Throwback Thursday ...

Overnight Training at Demura Sensei's old Hombu dojo, 1980.

A sign of the times. We used to keep the kids overnight, training till 1 or 2 am, then showing them Karate tournaments and movies until they begged to climb into their sleeping bags. Up early, cleaned the dojo, then ran around the block to Squires for a pancake breakfast. 

We were all very mellow by then.
