Unusual Sculpture
"Zip" 2014
Bronze Sculpture by American Sculptor, Jason Johnston.
Double-sided, with figures who close the zip on both sides.
From 17 years ago, 2017, I made these uncharacteristic faces. Ones that I had never done before or since? I drew some faces, then added watercolor, this time on heavy watercolor deckle-edged cards.
I did the one above as a demo in a card class, later I
decided to continue, using some discolored 50's newsprint
I tore snippets of the crumbly paper and layered ...
They all came out different, was it the hair?
Different personalities ...
similar but not the same ...
kinda fun to watch them develop ...
But, I didn't like them, perhaps an acquired taste?
But, it "kept me off the streets and not rolling sailors." ;op

Those faces with all the variation, and the simplicity that just was the right amount of detail, show just how creative you are. Always love the cartoons, too. Thank you Jacki.
Your faces are brilliante, all different and unique. And all ladies look nice and charming.
Have a good week ahead, Jacki!
Thank you Carrol, I felt it was brave too show them, but it filled a space. I'm not sure why I am not happy with them? But, thank you for your kind words.
Thank you, you are always so kind, Elenor. What is your weather like at this time of year? We get cold at night, but days are usually low 70's.
