I didn't use Saturday well, that is, not productively.
Two loads of laundry, watched some college basketball games, college women's gymnastic finals, and then the men and women's world ice skating championships.
A triple header. I love the enthusiasm of the college competitions.

I did some work on my lap top & found a book I think I would like.

Interesting how an author starts a book?  What do you think?

The Library Book, Susan Orlean :
A New York Times Book of the Year, 2018.
A dazzling love letter to a beloved institution - our libraries.
After moving to Los Angeles, Susan Orlean
became fascinated by a mysterious local crime that has ...

too good not to share:

Featured Artist: Cristian Marianciuc

Working with a variety of Awagami papers,
talented Romanian artist,  Cristian Marianciuc
aka "Icarus.mid.air" started working with paper in 2015.
Cristian created a unique paper crane every day
for 1,000 consecutive days.

Cristian enjoys experimenting with different papers pieces  In addition to his cranes, Cristian also enjoys the ancient art of Japanese "Kirigami" paper cutting and often designs and hand cuts intricate paper designs as well. and often incorporates unconventional materials
such as fresh flowers, feathers, wire and paint.

'Itajime' Paper

Cristians hand-cut artworks make use of Awagami's
famed "Itajime" papers - 100% hand-dyed washi .
Itajime papers offer artists like Cristian a wider range of
nuanced color tones making paper works seemingly spring to life.

Fantasy Crane

Cristian's newest fantasy crane features Awagami Itajime
as well as 2 of our thicker fine art white papers:
ShiramineBamboo.

Cotton + Kozo

Cristian has recently discovered the wonderful qualities
inherent in Awagami's Hakuho Select paper ...
A beautifully textured sheet that's also incredibly strong
due to its cotton & kozo (mulberry) fiber mix.

Hakuho Select is Awagami's impressive East-meets-West paper : simultaneously resilient yet luxuriously supple -
a truly unique art paper....

I so appreciate the precision and skills, which I do not share at all.
Now you know why I use primarily torn paper.

A smile for Sunday ...
