So many of my random blogs are rooted in memories.
Today I am remembering when my Grandhunks were little.

Young Grandhunks 1,2 & 3

Just a few blinks ago.
Being a single Grandma,
I was lucky to spend a lot of time with them.
Sometimes when their parent needed to be gone late
or overnight, it included putting them to bed.

One at a time, talking about their day, scratching their back,
and listening to their prayers. A nice end to the day.
My only disciplinary leverage during the day was asking ...
"Do you want to put yourself to bed?"
The answer was always no.

One night while putting the youngest, Grandhunk #3 to bed,
he said something that made reply ...
"you act all tough, but you're a marshmallow inside."
His response in a nano-second ... "Don't tell anybody!"

I was thinking about that today, and decided
that there are a lot of us out there that try to act strong,
or confident, that are probably marshmallow's inside?

Guilty.

A smile for Friday ...
