It was an art retreat as mentioned here, now moving on to ...
we three were settled in to our new home for four days.
We started out the day with breakfast at ...
on the water in beautiful Newport Beach.
One of us got huevos rancheros,
two of us got avocado sourdough toast,
all were very happy & enjoyed a great view.
We made a stop at ...
&
for supplies before we "hunkered" down to do art work.
Now you'll just have to use you imagination,
we were way too busy to take or pose for photos.
Artist/ friend John Arbuckle gave each a handmade journal,
his beautiful workmanship ready for a weekend of memories ...

Irene's a joy to watch work, masterful really.
John worked on his famous postcards which you can see here.
So if you look carefully you can picture us sitting in those chairs
creating, laughing, snacking, talking & enjoying each other.
You know how good friends can spend hours seamlessly?
All of sudden it was dark outside & we were hungry!
Big decision, so many places to eat.
We decided to call in for take out at ...
and we brought home a feast!
Between John & Irene, they really knew what to order!
We were still waiting for Brian, who was working in Florida.
And, sad that our 5th family member Terry, was in NM.
Brian will join us tomorrow, and we will be 4/5.
