darn it, digital journal spread |
Maybe you are rejoining me from here?
To see what happened next on this excellent journey?
Well, I had always heard of & wanted to go to Whidbey Island.
Pacific Northwest Art School to be exact.
A lot of my art heroes have taught art workshops there.
So it had been on my bucket list for a while now.
So when I saw this flyer ...
and artist/friend Irene Rafael asked ...
if I was interested? It was a yes, big time!
Brian Kasstle, Terry Garrett, and John Arbuckle
are master mixed media teachers & our friends.
Great demos produced great results ...
We worked from 9 - 4 PM with a break for lunch ...
most days ordered in from local restaurants,
and one day a quick trip to Coupeville Wharf.
Then back to work ...
on various techniques in progress.
Many of us went to dinner together each evening,
and then some of us returned to work some more.
I have so much more to show you in upcoming days,
to be continued ...
A smile for Friday ...

13 artists joined 3 teachers for intensive journal techniques.
We started with a large sheet of 140 lb. mixed media paper.
which we tore into a 15 spread journal shown top right.
We were given a small journal for notes, center right.
