Day 1004: How to spend a perfect Saturday?

postcards in progress for the "something, sometime" list ...

Do you know Corita? Corita Kent?
Seems like few people do now, but she is my favorite.
Sister Corita, artist and teacher, working in serigraphs ...
exploded onto the 60's art scene with a bold graphic style,
gleaned from the everyday observations.

a few of her popular images, google more?

So, good friend Valerie drove us 46 miles to the ...

at Immaculate Heart College for an ...

A beautiful campus on a rainy LA Saturday ...

We toured the Corita Center gallery,

looking through books, watching videos ...

visiting the gift shop ...

making some purchases.

Valerie's score.

(I may show you mine in another post?)

By 3:30 we were hungry. We passed "House of Pies",
deciding on "Mexico City" and Baja fish tacos!
Perfect on a rainy day!

Even the traffic & rain couldn't spoil this great day.
And we have more plans for tomorrow!
Stay tuned?

A smile for Sunday ...
