Friday started with me bundling up like a mummy to work in my garage. I sorted papers from 2 out of 3 tall, 4 drawer filed cabinets. Sorting to trash and what needs to be shredded. Besides being an admitted procrastinator, to make things worse, I am a keeper! I had tax returns from the 60's! So, two file cabinets are now empty! What a concept?  I have loads of papers to be recycled here, and an appointment to shred Saturday between 9 and 12. The last file cabinet has art & karate files, most needs to be purged, but  I did take a break.

After, I thought of the perfect meal to take home, only I got a single.

And while I was in line, I looked and saw

so many people had the same idea. Then I noticed the holiday decorations at our mall, on this coolish 70 degree So-Cal day.

A holiday fix and home to eat. The last file cabinet has art & karate files, most of which must also be purged, another day. TMI?

Jacki, first, thanks for your kind answer to my yesterday's comment. You are so kind and generous.
Sorting out things is hard work - for me at least. I'm a keeper too. I remember that I once asked my mom when I was still a child, why we kept some glasses with dried out jam in the cellar. She answered, that we didn't know anything about times to come. She had been a young girl during the war, always hungry .... I'll never forget this answer. Maybe that's the reason why it is so hard to let things go.
Jacki, you see, you brought back old memories. Thank you for that.
Happy Sunday!
