Today we visited GORDES, another hilly village
on their market morning. Established in 1031.
We got there early, so they were setting up.

Gordes is a village in the Vaucluse départment in the
Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France.
The residents are known as Gordies.

The nearest big city is Avignon;
smaller cities nearby include Cavaillon.

The stone work in large buildings and homes is amazing.

I went into the oldest church and sat for a while.

I bought some small gifts to take home, and clothes.

On the larger walls were huge black & white posters.
I didn't know the artist but liked what I saw.

I don't know the artist to credit, but enjoyed them all.
Only two days left, two more villages.

A smile for Wednesday ...
