I've been lazy today, so wondered what to share on the blog?
I am so lucky that friend & Austrian artist Heidi,
sent me some of her wonderful photos to share.

Yesterday Heidi & her husband went to Gmundenin,
a town situated next to the lake Traunsee

(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traunsee), a crystal clear lake
about 7.5 miles long, 1.9 mi is the max. width and

The lake is surrounded by mountains,
including the Traunstein (5548 ft high), the Mountain ranges known as “Dead Mountains and the Hell Mountains”.

To Gmunden belongs the Toscanapark which is a 88,000 square meter landscaped garden next to the sea

with many mature trees including a giant redwood .

The park surrounds Villa Toscana which was built in the 1870s.

When you walk along the shore you come to Schloss Ort (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schloss_Ort,
a castle dating back to around 1080.

It's a popular destination for tourists from all over the world.
In 1996, it even began to be used as a location
for the popular TV series Schlosshotel Orth.

Returning to our car they saw this fabulous old Mercedes!

I've always said this blog would be random,
to the extent the reader would never know what to expect?
Well, I bet you didn't expect to tour Gmundenin?
Thank you so much Heidi, you saved me!
