Montana step by step?

I used black gesso brush strokes for a background

and grey ink brush strokes for the face.

Orange marker to sculpt the face, turquoise marker body

and checkerboard tissue for hair.

 more hair and some polka dots?

The red polka dots made it work, for me.

I named her Montana at the time.

I don't know why?
