Thursday I joined artist/friend Beatriz Helton & husband Dave ...

for a walk in the garden, but not just any garden,
but the 120 acres of breathtaking gardens within 207 acres at ...

Featuring botanical collections in 12 specialized gardens.
All of the gardens include Australian Garden, California Garden, Camellia Garden, Children’s Garden, Conservatory,
Desert Garden, Herb Garden, Japanese Garden, Jungle Garden,
Lily Ponds, Palm Garden, Rach Garden, Rose Garden,
Shakespeare Garden, and the Subtropical Garden,

We started in the California Garden, landscaped with nearly

50,000 California natives and dry-climate plants ...

and oh, the colors and variety!

Everywhere we looked was a picture, as we walked on & on.

A warm day, air-conditioned by strong winds of the day. Perfect!

A wonderful day ... The Huntington, originally
the private estate of railroad magnate Henry Huntington,
it is one of Southern California’s must-see
cultural destinations with magnificent collections
of rare books, manuscripts, and works of art

with dear friends. Thank you Beatriz & Dave!

( a little bit more, tomorrow?)

A smile for Saturday ...
