If you happened to see this daily blog #1897 here,
I mentioned a special event Saturday...
 Tustin's Hoson House
(an intimate live music venue for jazz & classical music only)
hosted an exciting event, pairing piano music with art.
Starting at 6-7PM, an artist reception featured
glass blower Jon Oakes

and master wood worker Mark Hacksted

Stan & Carrol Wolf, pre-concert.

Saturday at 7PM featured concert pianist Minji Noh...

Dr. Minji Noh is active as a soloist & chamber musician.

Admission: "freewill donation"
Black chairs: $20; Red Rocker chairs: $30.or NO CHARGE.
Support was vastly appreciated by the Foundation.
The special Red Rocker chairs were reserved in advance.

Jean & Craig Nomura saw the blog & invited me to go with them.
We were lucky to have the comfy red rockers.
Our seats were 12' from Dr. Noh!
Imagine the difference from a concert hall.

The best concert I have attended, ever.
To be able to watch up close & see every musical nuance ...
in a comfortable rocker, some enjoyed a glass of wine.

The beautiful, elegant, gracious world famous soloist,
took time to explain the musical selections,
another advantage on an intimate setting. Such a treat.

I guess you can tell I loved every minute?

Jean, Jon and Craig.

And, I thank my hosts, Jean & Craig Nomura ...
shown with glass artist Jon Oates. They were his customers.

Hoson House is hosting more events in the immediate future.
Next week, October 14th, is Chris Maldonado, pianist.(here)

In appreciation of Hoson House's support of his musical studies,
Chris is hosting an Appreciation Recital & Dinner!
A recital & he will cook a Korean dinner for all.
Free admission, RSVP only. (here)
A potluck dish is appreciated but not required.

I think Hoson House is a gift to Tustin & surrounding cities.

A smile for Monday ...
