It was my boss Rebecca's idea to have four classes ...
in four weeks, and it seems to work well.
Within the four classes, we cover a myriad of approaches.

Mainly a lot of play & experimenting ending up
with a sort of compendium of possibilities.

Today I am here to sing the praises of the homely grid.
One of my favorite, but optional projects.
(all my exercises are optional, with variations encouraged)
Used as an easy way to get comfortable with collage.
Usually starting with a large hand drawn grid.

sometime using water soluble crayons

Then tearing images, paper to fit roughly within the squares.

An easy, playful exercise that often surprises the artist.

Have you tried this? It's easy & fun.

A smile for Wednesday ...
