Day 978: I'm really going to miss them ...

"Midway", photography, collages, digitized

Last Sunday's four week series was an experiment at ...

we didn't know how many might be interested in ...

but it turned out to be a perfect fit for a high powered lawyer,
a busy executive, a shop owner and many artists.

Day 977: A family milestone ...

#1, digital collage, ipad.

A busy day today.
A great journal class that will be featured tomorrow, and ...

youngest Grand-hunk, Zack, was confirmed today.

A rite of initiation where after a year's study,
these young people chose to declare their faith,
and intention to join the adult church.

Grand-hunks 1 & 2 were confirmed two years ago.

The whole family was on hand to celebrate.

The parents and brothers ...

the brothers, Dad and Uncles ...

the Grandparents ...

and one more.
A great day ... a family milestone.

Day 976: Sometimes I roll my eyes out loud ...

"28". multiple paper collages, digitized

Sometimes I roll my eyes, out loud!
Not often, and not in public.
But sometimes at myself.
Confession is good for the soul.

This is me, last night. Grandma TLC on duty.
It is a bit flattering, but then I made it, so artistic license.
WonderrWoman and family of superheroes have
big screen tv's and three remotes, with Direct TV, Netflix ,
a jillion channels etc. and it all works fine for them.

 &

After watching Duke win in BB, I wanted to see Shark Tank.
It gave me the option of watching it (a program in progress)
from the beginning. Cool.
Usually I would ask one of the Grand-hunks to help,
but I have, after all, college degrees ...
I should be able to do this, right?
And after 5 minutes, I did.
When GH#3 came down, I told him of my progress.
He smiled.

Day 975: The hurrieder I go, the behinder I get ...

Polaroid print collage

"The hurrieder I go, the behinder I get ..."
and other Alice in Wonderland quotes ...
that appeal to me today, with my thanks to Lewis Carroll.

I am trying to plan ahead (not one of my better skills) ...
for this Sunday's last class of ...

A great group that has really bonded.
Rounding up supplies and ideas for Sunday.
"It's no use going back to yesterday,
because I was a different person then."
Hoping to get back to normal soon, last day of antibiotics.
"Curiouser and curiouser."
All while getting ready for overnight on Grandma TLC duty.
If I sound scattered, I am.
A: "Where should I go?"
CC: "It depends on where you want to end up."
I tell myself, it will all work out, right?
Hope you have a great weekend!

Day 974: Bragging rights from 2,061 miles away?

junk mail postcard

That's okay, right?

I "googled" my niece Alana's address, and this photo came up.
Then I map-quested the address for directions and ...

 they can do that!
I got actual driving instructions for three different routes!
That's how I know it's 2,061 miles and a 30 hour trip.
But, I do get so distracted ...

So anyway, cousin Katha's daughters Alana & Carmen
were flower girls at my wedding in 1962! Wow!

But again, I am off track, this blog is about ...
Alana's daughter and granddaughter, respectively ...
Math major, Kalene (21), and Elementary Ed. major Briana (19).
A junior and sophomore, both are  scholarship students
and stand-out stars on St. Joseph College softball team.

How cool is that?
I am so proud of them,
it's on my bucket list to see them play.
So there, bragging ... long distance!

This was my post for FB Throwback Thursday ...

(the young WonderWoman in soccer & softball days)

& WonderWoman's FB-TBT post today that gave me the idea.

(the very young grand-hunks)

...  ta da!
