Day 215: Back in the saddle?

I retired from teaching karate at Costa Mesa Dojo ...

after thirty years, in December of 2011.
(I now train at our Hombu Dojo in Santa Ana)
But when Roy called, I agreed to sub for him today.
And, I thought I would show you ...

so we did 9 of everything, instead of 10.

Day 214: Chapter One!

Today a business lunch with Nicole at Chapter One.

February 24 - March 2, 2013

unique menu utilizing local, seasonal produce.

Nicole's dessert was the Bourbon, Bacon, Banana Donut!

    candied bacon, bruleed banana

I should have taken the photo when it was served, but ...
We shared it, and I will dream about this one!
The best dessert ever!
I will return.
