Day 277: Lost dolls ...

Lately I seem to have a "thing" for dolls?

As a kid, I never played with dolls.

Preferring animals instead.

But now, at swap meets or flea markets ...

I seem to be drawn to these dolls.

Maybe it's about them being thrown into a box.
When they had probably been a treasure at some point.

So I worked on a digital collage ...
combining photos and a pattern layer.

It's 18x24" and I call it "lost dolls".

Day 276: Three hours in Floral Park ...

Not as well known as it should be ...
and I think the residents like it that way.

Floral Park is a beautiful part of Santa Ana, CA.
More than 600 vintage homes, wide tree-shaded streets,

large lawns, flowers galore and unique homes.
It's evident, the people treasure their neighborhood.
I took pictures of the homes for a future blog.

At this home tour, they also had a vintage car show.

I took pictures of the cars for another future blog.

So
today's
blog
will show the vendors
and
artists
at the
2013

Park

Day 275: "Junk in the Trunk" ...

Literally.

I stopped by the "Junk in the Trunk" sale.

Piecemakers hosts this event once a year.

People bring their trunks full of "junk" to sell.

No way to know what will be offered ...

Tools, auto parts, antiques ...

And, there was food ...

Piecemakers is well known for their pie!

What? You want to know what I bought?

Two big (10x14") metal numbers. Cool!

A fun way to spend a Saturday morning.
